We are a family oriented church that seeks to bring hope, healing, and direction to our community and world by sharing the love and truth of Jesus Christ. At the Alvin Church of God you will find that we have a faith that is genuine, not founded in a particular religion, but in a powerful relationship with Jesus. This relationship with Him overflows into a positive relationship with each other.
We have several exciting things to offer at the Alvin Church of God including Tidal Wave youth center, Children's Church, nursery, Men's Fellowship, Ladies Ministries, Sunday School, Family Training Hour, and Autumn Ministries for those 50 yrs. and older. There's something for everyone!
Our service times are:
Sunday School ... Sundays, 9:30 A.M.
Morning Worship ... Sundays, 10:45 A.M.
Tidal Wave Youth Church and God's Reign Forest Children's Church ... Sundays, 5 P.M. to 8 P.M.
Family Training Hour ... Wednesdays, 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M.
Join us on Resurrection Sunday for a celebration service at 10 AM at the Potomac Grade School on IL Route 136 in Potomac IL and see for yourself that Jesus still walks through walls to get you because He loves you deeply.
"He Still Walks Through Walls" is a message for those who have felt that they have been living life from behind a wall. The entire service will center around the theme of Jesus' power to reach you and will include vibrant worship, relevant messages,
and a special dramatic presentation by the kids from Tidal Wave.
There will also be a fully staffed nursery and Children's Church for kids age 4-10 years old.
Immediately after the service there will be an Easter Egg hunt for all the children.
